Project Overview

This project was developed during a university hackathon where my friend Don Junior, who worked on the AI, reached out to me as the strongest front-end developer he knew on campus. We teamed up with another colleague, Loren Biden, who handled the backend. Our challenge was to build a professional website for New Frontier BPO—a company focused on outsourcing skilled Kenyan talent to global businesses. The client requested a modern site with an AI theme, infused with Kenyan culture.

My Role

I handled the entire front-end development, from sketching the layout in my notebook to designing and building the UI from scratch. I also designed and integrated the chatbot UI and implemented Google Analytics to track button clicks and page visits. The site features smooth animations, a color palette inspired by the Kenyan flag, and traditional lesso patterns. I also included Kiswahili in key areas—such as a welcome message from the CEO—to reflect cultural authenticity, while maintaining a clean and corporate aesthetic.

The Impact

The result was a fully responsive, visually striking website that captured the client's vision—balancing advanced AI elements with a strong sense of Kenyan identity. It showcased my ability to blend cultural themes with modern UI/UX design and collaborate effectively in a team under time constraints. This project was a major milestone in my development journey and a highlight in my portfolio.
